GO FALCONRY
EDINBURGH
Scottish Falconry Experience
The Great Outdoors
Join us for a hands on hunting experience with Hawks and Ferrets. Experience the beauty of flying and hunting with our majestic Harris hawks in beautiful rural settings near Edinburgh. Offering full and half day trips, you will have the opportunity to fly the Hawk to the glove, hunt rabbits, squirrels, pheasants and partridge and also use our Ferrets to bolt the rabbits. This can be an excellent opportunity for filming as the action is very close.

Catering for up to 6 people, our Falconry sessions are available from October until the end of March; after which we rest the hawks. Please note these sessions are very popular and it is advisable to book early to ensure your preferred date.
Kass is our 8 year old female Harris hawk. She is very experienced and will do her best every time. She has caught over two hundred rabbits, and also pheasants, grey squirrels and a dirty rat.
She flies free around 2lb in weight and will follow us as we walk.

Hands on with Birds of Prey !

Kass
Our Hawks are highly social raptors, with complex social hierarchies that engage in cooperative hunting and breeding.
Harris Hawks employ some of the most sophisticated cooperative hunting strategies
They are agile flyers and when hunting the male may also take to the ground, running and hopping to chase the prey from cover and the Female always makes the kill.
They soar at high altitudes on wind thermals, sometimes plunging into dramatic dives after the quarry.

Harris's Hawks are vulnerable to habitat loss due to urbanisation, We give them a home and allow them to hunt naturally as they do in the Wild. .
GoFerretting
Ferrets were domesticated several thousand years ago to help hunters flush rabbits from their holes and also to catch small animals such as rats and mice. Our Harris Hawk sits high up a tree waiting on a rabbit to run. She then swoops down and trys to catch the rabbit.
Come along and see how everything connects for the ultimate catch.
