An excellent falconry experience
Mik picked us up on time and as scheduled. We had a wonderful time meeting him, his hawk Kass and his ferrets. We learned a good bit about falconry and it was a true hands on experience. Mik is a very personable man, a great guide and an excellent sportsman. His passion for falconry is very clear and I think he enjoyed the hunt as much as we did. I have hunted for many years, but this truely was an experience I will never forget. My wife, who does not hunt, enjoyed it as much as I did. To see that beautiful hawk flying above you and coming to your glove is truely awesome. I would recommend Mik without reservations. His prices are considerably lower than anything I could find state side. It was an all around perfect day. Thank you Mike.

Went fly fishing with Mike for trout in the Pentland Hills in May this year. Booked it only a couple of days in advance but he responded swiftly over e-mail and still had some time on a Sunday afternoon.
Had an absolute blast. Michael had well maintained gear, was prepared to switched rods if the conditions would require us to and was really accomodating throughout the entire trip. We rented a boat in a trout pond about 20 minutes from Edinburgh.
I hadn't fly fished before, but had a lot of fishing experience. Michael was really helpful in giving me the tips and tricks I needed for the fly fishing. In the end I caught two and himself got one. Throughout the trip he was scanning the state of my lures and the conditions to see whether we should switch/change.
Mike brought some pie and whisky which really topped of the trip.
Especially looking at the price compared to competitors this is probably the best value for money fishing trip in Edinburgh. Hereby also to note that he offers a variety of different trips with aside from trout, also for salmon or mackerel.

The best fishing trip in Edinburgh
I had the absolute pleasure of having a fishing day trip with Mik on a Loch in Edinburgh. I'm a beginner fisher and Mik was patient, kind and helpful while he helped me learn to fish and fly fish. With a big smile on his face, he made sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. Mik provided all the gear I needed, introduced me to locals, picked me up from my Edinburgh hotel and was very affordable. I am so pleased with my experience! It really was a 10/10 day out. Not to mention, we caught some great trout. I'd honestly recommend him to anyone and everyone... families, couples, friends, groups or solo travellers!
